It was nice, a couple of good young tenor players sat in along with a fine young pianist, my old friend bassist Curt Bley, and from TB, Fichter, sounding very good!
On my way home I stopped in at Pete Miller's in Evanston where I suspected some of the guys from the San Fransisco Jazz Collective might be hanging out after their Northwestern concert, and I was right. Heard Joe Lovano, Miguel Zenon and bassist and TBer, Carlos Henriquez on a couple of tunes with Bobby Broom's Trio. Really great playing all around.
