accord bass trunk

Hello
I posted a question earlier that was light in details about the Accord bass trunk. It seems to be very light (light enough to squeeze under the overweight charge on planes)but strong and they use Stanley Clarke in their ads. I'm looking for a trunk but I don't know anybody who's actually tried this company.. any thoughts would help.

when it comes to trunks, kolstein is the only way i can see going. they're time tested and known as the standard trunk. they have a new version that came out this year which is about 66 pounds

from the Accord case website;

ACCORD FLIGHT DOUBLE BASS CASE - STANLEY CLARKE model

Reinforcements made of additional carbon make this case suitable for roughest usage, such as flight case.
The basic model includes the following:
- 3 real leather handles; additional handles optionally
- foam interior with adjustable cushions creating the “floating effect” of the instrument
- Accord's standard color options except silver metalic
- Texture-granulated finish
- 4 wheels at the case’s bottom, two at the sides (lateral) and two back wheels
- 2 different types of latches making it impossible to open the case involuntary, even using the most varied physical forces
- 2 belts in the interior for instrument’s fastening
weight
16 kg (35 lbs)
size
There are two different models to choose from that match the size and shape of any double bass (from 3/4 to 5/4).
In order to select the suitable model and adjust the interior, please fill out the measurements form.

Medium
Large
interior
All Accord cases have a unique suspension system engineered to float the instruments on a cushion of foam pads.
Self-adhesive cushions of various widths are easily combined for various instruments, which enables very precise inner fitting and security. Ecologically and chemically neutral insulation makes no impact on the instrument’s final varnish neither it damages it. It prevents moisture collection. Excellent insulation features. Detachable cushions at the bottom can be adjustable to each instrument.
- 2 belts in the interior for the instrument’s fastening
- tight fixing department for accessories
- detachable pockets for accessories and sheet music

note
Our recommendation: Built to withstand all the rigors of travel.

Stanley Clarke (quote):

“The Accord Case is the best traveling case I have ever had. Touring internationally with an upright bass can be very challenging. It has made things so much easier.”

I am also interested in hearing about this case. I have used a Kolstein for years but as some of us already know, certain airlines and certain airports have become hysterical about keeping the weight under 100 lbs.
If you are even a little over the limit, it is not uncommon that they will try to send you directly to air cargo-no discussion.
So I am curious, like Frogalair, does anyone here have any first hand knowledge of the Accord flight case?
I have heard already they cost over 4 grand; perhaps they are worth it?

BTW,Here's a link to a pic of the accord case. http://www.soundpost.co.uk/Accord%20SCbass5.jpg
Looks nice, But at almost twice the price of the Kolstein, I would seriously consider the pros and cons.
