Advice for Paris Tourist?

Hi all,

I'm travelling to Paris on vacation for 2 weeks (Feb. 19-March 5. Do you guys have any suggestions for jazz clubs to check out or things to do? Any big names that will be there on tour? Any of your own gigs you want to plug? I'm also planning on travelling while I'm there so anything in France, Britain, Germany, et al. is fair game. Thanks!

-Will

There is a whole strip of hip clubs on a street called Lombard my favorite of which is called Duc De Lombard. I try to get by there whenever I'm in Paris. One of my favorite jazz clubs in the world.

if you are also interested in bass-shops:
rue de rome is a street with many luthiers, music shops etc.

man i just missed this thread. I just hit at the NEW MORNING in PAris last night. If you are still getting this thread over there. I did all the countries you named. I would check out A-Trane in Berlin and Jamboree in Barcelona and Duc des Lombards in Paris too. Have fun.

Sunset / Sunset is a nice place (2 jazz clubs at the same place), as Le Baiser Saler and Le Duc des Lombards. They all are in rue des Lombards. The New Morning is nice too, more big concerts, but in a different place. Le Petit Journal is the Montparnasse area. Then you have many small places with Jazz gigs.

Eat a baguette, every morning, every single morning, first thing with a cappuccino.
