Albuquerque gigspam

I know there ain't many of us here in NM, but I thought I'd try to get the word out--I'll be playing Friday and Saturday (June 11-12) from 8:30-12 with the great Bobby Shew at Vernon's Jazz Club. I promise it'll swing. A lot.

Shew don't know how NOT to swing.

Send my best, Michael. He was just here a couple weeks ago doing the big band thing.
We had some great times together years ago.
Have fun.

Hey Paul,

Bobby says hi. He was talking about how much he loved the trio you had with Dick Hindman and Colin Bailey.

Thanks, Michael....Shew's a piece of wonderful work. That trio with him was pretty powerful in the tempo dept. Dick, Colin and Shew all have beautiful senses of humor. Beyond sick. Don't know which I enjoyed more, the playing or the humor.
I'm sure he digs you. I used to call him "Shoes" because this club owner here who could never get anybodys name right spelled his name like that in the advertisements. Pete Christlieb was "Crisgreeb" and the drummers name was John Arcotta. The ad read John Narcotta. There also was Dave Clean Head Vincent and Ed Fathead Newman. Dick Hindman was Dick Hymen.
Shew used to get a giggle out of that.

Sounds like the clubowner who put up a sign saying "Tonite! Indiana Jacket and his band".
