All Put Together

Bass: Fully carved large 3/4 I purchased from a fellow TBer and had worked on by Jeff Bollbach.

Strings: Belcantos

Pick up: Planet Wing

Amp: EA Doubler, VL208

Well that's my bass set up.....

I started this thread to thank everyone for their input over the years on all the aspects of my venture. I decided to get back into playing the DB back in 2006 and started by purchasing a bass in January 2007. I've spent many hours reading through the threads, asking questions and sometimes being made fun of for the stupid questions.

I spent about two years taking lessons which is now taking a back seat to my 10 month old son. I will return to it, practicing as time allows and playing regularly with a jazz quartet.

There is a lot to be done in terms of my playing but I am very satisified with all my gear and progress as a player.

Again guys thanks for all the help, I am very grateful to all who have helped out!

Congrats! Don't forget that you can get your practice in, and entertain your son, at the same time!

Good looking bass! When my son was 10 months, I'd often put a playpen full of fun soft toys in the music room and practice while he was in that. Another good strategy is to practice in a room where toddler-TV shows are playing with the sound down. Enjoy this time, and practice when you can.

My son is almost 11 months now. I took your advice and penned him in in the basement where I can practice...

BTW - It's time for me to unsubscribe to the majority of the string megathreads! Thankfully I've lost interest in them..

Thumbs up

I think you should do the one with the Sloane machines. Those are really great machines.
