| There's the Jazz Estate on (2423 N. Murray), which is considered the East Side, and few minutes from downtown. Tiny place, but some very good local guys play there, and occasionally a bigger act Brian Lynch and Dave Hazeltine are a couple of hometown guys who swing through).
There's also Caroline's on Florida and 2nd, (near the Allen Bradley clock). I think Blu, which is at the top of the Hyatt, also has live jazz sometimes.
There are some other places, too. Try picking up a Sheperd Express (the local free rag, found just about everywhere). It has listings.
