Bass friendly cars

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for bass friendly cars. I know that a bass can fit into nearly every car, even some two doors. This nearly always requires the use of the front passanger seat. I was wondering if anyone knew of any car that you could loada bass into, and not take up he front passanger seat, besides minivans and SUV's. I know for instance that subaru has a small wagon that fits nicely. any other suggestions???

Station wagons rule.
They're not humongously big, work fine as your everyday car and provide a lot of loading room when needed.
The brand new JazzAdmobile :

Pull down one of the back seats and fit the URB there. Easy as pie.

When I was in high school, I would sometimes drive my bass in the bag of my dad's dodge omni (little hatchback).

It looks like it would fit nicely in the back of one of them prius cars too.

We used to travel to Bluegrass gigs in our 87 Honda Civic with guitar, mandolin and string bass along with the guitar player, the mandolin player and the bassist too! I'm not sure we'd all fit now!

My wife drives a 90 Golf and it fits her bass just fine with the neck protruding between the front seats. We have actually carried two Kays that way, bridge to bridge, and my guitar in its flight case too.

Still room for two people.

Here is my bass friendly car:

Yes, I know its ugly.. But, this is what I can fit in it:

Upright Bass
Electric Bass
(2) Aguilar GS112s
GK700RB in an amp bag
Stand for my amp (if I use 1 cab)
Stool
Small suitcase for fakebooks and other toys

After that, I still have space for a passenger and get about 34-36mpg

I have an old Volvo 740T - relatively cheap to buy, reasonably cheap to run as long as you follow the regular service intervals, and very long lived.

It fits an amazing amount of gear; usually my bass just slides flat in the back with amp, stool and bags, etc. around it, but I've added large drum + percussion kits + PA + keys and guitar amps at times: pretty much a whole band's worth.

If/when it finally dies I'll be looking for another just like it (but newer, obviously).

Ah, I used to have a 1981 Volvo 240 - they run forever if you look after em. Unfortunately mine was neglected and on its last legs when I bought it - but still carried 4 large men, my bass, drums, a tenor sax, and luggage across Alberta at good speed. I'd buy an old one over a domestic minivan for a road trip any time.

I think just about any hatchback will do you though: I used to have a Micra, and test-drove a Echo / Yaris a while ago - lots of room left over for an amp, assorted junk, plus 1 passenger.
