I just spoke with an old friend and former boss today. He's in California now, finishing up a short run of dates.
After repeated admonitions, his bass player refused to back off his clueless, negative on-the-job behavior.
When he continued with his negative commentary after the conclusion of the night's gig, on the way to the vehicles in the parking lot after the gig, my pal said, "That's it, I've had it."
He took off his jacket, put down his instrument and faced the bass player. The bass player, "Big Dave," rushed him.
It was a two punch TKO, won by the bandleader.
So....
There's a job opening for a bass player with the wrong attitude.
