Man, that's the soft version since it's just a Bass Shaped Object. The real blow is when you see a good old DB turned into one of those cabinets or any other odd use. Then again, it's just a matter of personal taste... you seen before colère de contrebasse (DB warth) by Arman ?

Just like that Strad Cello that belonged to that LA Symphony player which almost got turned into a cd rack. Imagine that!

Here's a link to a legitimate (and good!) artist who among other things buys some beginner violins and makes some great sculpture out of the parts. I bought a violin painting from her last year for my wife, it has real strings, sheet music pressed into the paint, and such. Neat stuff.
