Anybody check this out yet? I just noticed it in the banner ad at the top of the forum. Kinda cool; might be fun just for sight reading, arco practice, or as a teaching aid.

Yeah, intriguing, isn't it? Looks like it could be a nice addition to practice time. Reading practice, plus learning new licks and walking lines for various progressions. See it, hear it, play it. How long has Bopland.org website been there?

I don't know.... I just noticed the banner ad today, and there's very little indication of what it links to- just a section of some obvious bebop-looking transcription, and a little tiny hotlink to the site in the lower left.

it's ok I guess. Kinda weird when you don't even know where the lick is coming from or if it's made up. You also lose context of what solo the lick belonged to. Would be better if they had metadata for all the licks so you can search for licks from particular musicians of to compare/contrast what different players did over the same set of changes (along with seeing who they are).
