Brahms #4

I've been casually seeking the perfect recording of Brahms 4th Symphony, for several years now.

By perfect, I mean, of course, from a bass player's perspective. One where they don't play fast and loose with the tempo (too many orchestras turn the entire thing into a giant rubato piece, on this and many other pieces IMO), but where they actually groove, like I think Johannes intended.

Ideally it should be a clean and relatively recent recording but that's secondary. Any suggestions? I have a few oddball ones, like the Netherlands Philharmonic, and I think the Cleveland Orchestra.

Was just doing a search on Brahms 4th and noticed that nobody ever responded. (Is late better than never?) Here's one I like, with Carlos Kleiber:

And here he is on YouTube, doing something similar:

Plus, through the wikipedia entry on this piece, I found some has some links where one can download the score, for free, with no pesky ads:

Cleveland Orchestra? Oddball?
