Huge storm just through. I noticed that water was pouring over the edges of my gutters, and headed into the basement where my bass was sitting on the floor (against my usual policy). I put it up on a table. A few minutes later, the basement flooded.

Reminder to everybody: If you live in a house with a basement or garage, never leave your gear directlly on the floor. If nothing else, you can get old wooden shipping pallets to raise up the stuff that you have to store in the basement.
