| | Registered User | | Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Ontario | | | I had one of those Peterson stands but found it top-heavy with a Real Book on it and there wasn't a way to clamp a stand light on it. It also breaks down into quite a few pieces so it took longer than I'd like to assemble and tear down. It was OK for light-duty travel use though.
I ended up getting a Manhasset with folding legs and removeable standard-size desk. It packs nicely into the car and is nearly all steel so it's rugged and stable.

family and it folds up into a rectangular bag. I throw a little

I've tried several other portables -- my favorite is the Peak stand mentioned above. |

Plus I love the extender things as well - no more flying photocopies. I didn't buy mine, it was a present, so cost wasn't an issue for me but I'd reccommend it as a really good stand. Katie x |
