Thanks for posting that link. I love Django and Stephane Grappelli and I think Louis Vola was very much an underratted bass player as well. Django's best stuff had him slappin' the doghouse.
Django, very exciting musician! The air was thick with smoke, and mongering was an acceptable behavior in those dens of ill repute where the the craft of jazz was honed to near perfection.
