Does the Honda Fit fit?

I'm looking to replace the big Taurus Wagon with a smaller vehicle. Was wondering if anyone has a Honda Fit. It needs to hold Bass and stool wife and one kid.

I was just checking one out in the parking lot last night. Wife, kid, yourself, and the bass, and the stool..... I don't see it happening in a Fit. It's plenty big as a bass hauler, or a people hauler, but all at once is asking too much, I think.

The new one ('09) is a little bigger, BTW.... but it's still gonna be a roller skate.

PS.. I'm curious to see how much space is saved by getting the Fit Sport's optional steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. One of the problems I've had in small bass haulers has been the bass' scroll and the stick shift fighting over space.

My lady friend has a Fit Spot, but the paddle shifters are basically useless so she opted to not get them because there is still the center console. I can fit my upright, electric, 4x10 and head in there if I am flying solo. On another occasion we had 5 people in there without a problem. There's A LOT of leg room and head room in this car. However, the upright + people isn't going to happen. You're able to get one other person in the car if they're willing to sit behind the driver's seat.

I can fit my bass, amp and three passengers in mine with the bass on its side with the 60-40 split rear seats, for long outdoor gigs I have a collapseable drum throne for a stool. I'm sure it will work.
