Double Bass Lessons in the Toms River, New Jersey Coast Area?

I am now 16 years old and for a long time I debated in my head whether or not I should try to learn the Double Bass. I was always intrigued by the instrument and enjoyed the sound of it thoroughly.
Sometimes I used to wonder if 16 was too late to start, but then I figured that I would regret something I DIDN'T do more than something I DID do when I am older, so I decided That I will take the plunge regardless of the fact taht I am starting older than many and will be at a slight disadvantage. I do already play the Electric Bass so I will have to learn to double, and I have learned through this sight that the Double Bass is not a cousin of EB but a completely differenent Animal, regardless I am interested.

For awhile now, I have been asking around for Upright lessons and/or rentals and haven't found anywhere local. The rentals are not the problem as much as the lessons. I can find a rental, but a lesson I cannot. I figured I would ask my good friends at Talk Bass if they knew of any teachers or if they themselves coul teach in the area.
Finally, I just wanted to let you know that I am interested in Jazz primarily, but I understand that I MUST learn classical and the bow and I do plan to. I enjoy Classical music, I just enjoy Jazz more, but I am not opposed to learning Classical.

Sorry for the lenghy post and the background which may have been irrelevant.unwanted. Thank you for all help I highly appreciate it.

SIncerely,

Josh D.

I will have to get back to you on that because, as I am 16, this relies entirely on my parents. So I would have to find out from them.
