I'm new to new york. I need a good location to shop for a better bass, acces., etc.
also, suggestions on how to find a group looking for an experienced modern jazz bass player. I'm living in north new jersey.

AES Fine Instruments; 914-243-0955 has basses at various prices for sale, including 3 of mine Yorktown Hts, NY. His clientele includes the best in the business; his commission is lower than the others. I'll give you 1 more name tomorrow. Also look up http://kolstein.com
