Just a heads up, the current (Nov 02) Bass Player Magazine has a nice article and interview with Edgar Meyer.

And the current Double Bassist magazine (Autumn 2002) has a sidebar with the "Pain Killer- How to reduce the risk of injuries" highlighting the circumstances of someone whose name you may recognize.
