Oh I meant driving yourself home, thats the law here in Madison, Wisconsin.

I wish I had seen this thread sooner. I used to hang at Ortlieb's a lot several years ago and just recently started going down there again, once in awhile. Playing time depends on a lot of things: how early you get there and put your name on the list, the number of other bass players on the list, sometimes what other bass players are there, and how well you play. There have been times I played a whole set, other times because I rolled in late I didn't play at all, that happens. Because of your age and experience level don't expect to play much, but use the opportunity to listen. There's often cats just a few years older than you are now, check out the level they are playing at. Listen even harder to the older cats. Just being in an environment like that can be educational. Start learning rhythm changes. Electric bass won't be a problem.
