EUB in the Double Bass Classifieds

Anyone else think it's a drag to weed through all the EUB ads in the classified section. In my opinion they are more electric than acoustic and more sought after by electric bassist than double bassists???

It doesn't bother me at all Jason. Car questions in the "Basses" forum on the other hand...

An EUB is a good tool to have. I am about 80% acoustic bass purist, but I wouldn't be without my EUB.
If I need to play loud but with my double bass techniques, it is often a lot more fun and practical than over-amping my double bass. With travel and other needs, a lot of double bassist want one.

It's probably a reality I will have to face in the near future...

It is a bit like a having a shotgun for home defense, you don't really want to have to use it, but when you need it, you need it!
And like the universally recognized "rack" of a shotgun, the mere mention of "bringing your EUB instead next time" can quiet down unruly bandmates.

As an EUB player, I was thinking the opposite - but it doesn't bother me in the least.
