that's only a fake one. The real hardcore thing is when a vintage DB gets turned into such a cabinet. Any luthier story about restoring the cabinet into a playing DB ?

For near a thousand bucks, after shipping, why not just buy an Englehardt and a couple of hinges?

Because db-turned-into-cabinets suck and are loosy pieces of furniture bound to fall appart due to gross inadequation between shape and function.
