Farewell Herb Ellis

Virtuoso guitarist Herb Ellis, long-time Ray Brown collaborator (among so many others), passed away a few days ago. There is a notice in the March 31st edition of the Washington Post. Please pause and give his recordings another listen when you get a chance.

I just heard this on NPR this morning and was surprised that it hadn't surfaced on TBDB yet. RIP Herb

Had the opportunity to play with Herb on a few occasions. A great man as well as a great
musician. He will be missed.
