Flying with a double bass

Attention bass travelers!

I have some information to those of you who travel by air with your double bass or might be traveling in the near future.

Continental Airlines states it its 'Contract of Carriage' http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...2008122201.pdf

that it accepts double basses even if they exceed maximum weight and dimensions of checked excess luggage. If you look at the pdf file above, on page 22 you will find the information.
