| That article is one more timely reminder that you don't have to dumb-down jazz music for regular folks to enjoy it. Neither Esperanza Spalding nor Anjelique Kidjo cuts the jazz aspects short, but each is willing to take a step toward their audience(s) and -- look at that! -- the audiences are steppin' straight toward them too.
