Getting something out of my DB

Ok, so the other night during rehearsal, the end popped out of my humidifier and flew across the floor. The foam humidifier (the long rubber part) stayed inside of the bass however.

I tried turning the bass upside down and shaking it out of the f hole, but with no luck. Is there a special way I need to flip my bass to get it to the f hole? It's not rattling inside the bass, but I still need to get it out of there.

At hardware stores they often have long metal grabber things with claws on the end, that are perfect for retrieving objects from inside your bass. Good luck!

If the rubber part is dry enough to stick, wad a ball of masking tape on the end of a stick, with some of the adhesive facing outward.

FACT

Tape on a stick is the ONLY thing Chuck Norris or John Turner will run from, screaming like a girl.

Finally took three bassists turning it upside down and maneuvering it around till the humidifier was right at the f hole to get it out.
