Gig recommendations!?! - Sep, NY & Boston

Hey all, I'm shortly to cross the pond and land stateside for a bit of vaction. Whilst over in NY and Boston, I certainly want to catch some fine music and maybe even catch some of you fellow TB'ers in action. So far I've been checking out http://www.bigapplejazz.com/nycjazzclubs.html - I'm guessing there must be some intimate jam sessions in NY/Boston that are worth a look in, who knows, with some unknowns beginning to find thier sound by way of berklee? (I don't mean to open up a can of worms there...)

So basically, any recommendations for clubs and bars that are a must and are well worth checking out through September in NY and Boston. I'm excited indeed

What are the dates you'll be in either city? As far as a resource for NYC, you should take a look here. Has a very comprehensive list of what's happening every month. My quartet is playing in Brooklyn on the 16th, but I don't know if that would fit in your schedule.... Regardless, there's plenty happening in September. I doubt you'll have trouble finding something interesting.

Safe travels,

Wink

Thanks isolated, I'll be in NY 11th to 16th (so might catch you play) and then Boston from 16th to 20th and then after a little road trip back to NY 26th to 29th.

I've tracked down some interesting sites so have some options, it's just I like recommendations and what others are into too.

Thanks again
