For about the last year I have been getting strange requests for availability to perform private functions. I’ve had e-mails from folks such as:
George Tarango
tarango_1970@yahoo.com
tomi smith
belive_nlove@yahoo.co.uk
Ezekiel Benedict
bo_lingo1@yahoo.com
These requests ask for my availability to perform wedding receptions in places on the east coast and in Europe. With the first two I sent back replies explaining that I was in s.cal and that they should look for someone local. After these replies the sender replies back to me that they are really interested in me and if I would send them my address they will send me off a check and book the flights…
Anyways this is obviously some fishing expedition for identity data and I ignore them now. But I was wondering if anyone else has seen this musician targeted take of the old Nigerian government bank account scam?
