Very nice! Please report back after the Lee Konitz gig - I'm scheduled to play with him in Feb, and I'd like the inside dope. Also a big **** you for getting to play with Kenny Barron - he's one of my all time role models. Rock on, my fellow American.

Thank you guys,
both concerts were awesome- I am attaching a couple of pics from the stage or backstage. Lee and Kenny are two true master improvisers, and sharing the stage with them is quite an experience. Chris, you'll have a ball performing with Lee in February! He does have a list of favorite tunes to play (he won't call them- he just starts improvising on the changes, often in unusual keys), so email me about it if you're interested.

I'm heading to Japan on tour tomorrow and I'm taking the Czech-Ease with me. As far as Kenny's gig goes, his management was clear from the beginning that they wouldn't let me travel with my bass. They probably got slapped with some $700 oversize fee flying the bass back from Tokyo or something like that (believe me- it DOES happen these days). The rented bass I found in Atlanta was less then perfect- more like a three string bass because the E string was 1mm off the fingerboard and buzzing all over, but hey, it worked out OK!
