good gigs coming up near Virginia?

Hello,
I have another free week before school starts again, and I'd like to go see a realy good bassist, prefferably jazz or classical. I'm currently in Blacksburg, Virginia, which is in the western part of the state. I might be willing to drive as far as the DC area or Charlotte, NC.
