This has been talked about here before but I wanted to bring it to the top again.
Jazzdoublebass.com and particularly the interview with Rufus Reid are great resources for young bass players. I direct every single one of my double bass students to watch the interview. Not only is there an incredible wealth of knowledge but almost every single one of my students comments on how calming but firm and serious Rufus' demeanor is. Rufus' is one of the premier jazz double bass educators of our time one this interview is an amazing resource. I envy people that have had a chance to work with him in person and I hope to myself one day.
