| I've bought and sold basses on consignment at HA, but I honestly can't remember the rate. That does sound about right, though. Give them a ring and find out.
When I sold through them, I thought it was worth losing a cut in order to not have to deal with the hassle of selling it myself. My bass (a carved 3/4 Romanian thing) sold pretty quickly.
