Hand Truck?

I am looking for a collapsible hand truck to help me schlep my gear (amp, stool, music stand) from the car to gigs.

Any advice on one that does not take up much space and can take some abuse without falling apart?

Here's a few great suggestions. Some TB'ers here have even made their own customized versions.
Great gig dolly

There's one you can get a Home Depot for about $30. A keyboard player buddy of mine swears by it.

Me, I have my third $7 cheapo from Kohls. They last about a year but at $7 it is awfully hard to beat.

I've had one of these for two years now with absolutely NO problems.

I got one of those at Lowe's for around 40 bucks. Works great. I use it
to haul an Aguilar GS112, and Eden wt400, a 2 space rack and my music
briefcase. Works great and no issues.

I use 2 small bungie cords on the top handles and one attached to the
bottom to hold it all together. Then I can wheel it with one hand.

The one above lists at $261. Holy smoke, that's pretty rich.

The Lowes truck is here, lists at 39.96 plus shipping.

I bought it in the store, they may only have them online right
now.

I've had two of these in over 30 years of heavy use and the second is still going. Not cheap, but good, and the tilt back wheels are really helpful. They are not too wide to navigate in crowded hallways, etc. as some of the other carts are.

Yeah, it was expensive (I actually didn't pay close to what the listed price was) but I bought it cause it was a little more heavy duty than the ones they advertise at Home Depot, etc.. Now, with the advent of lighter cabs and heads weight is not that much of an issue. Like I said, I like it alot.

Yeah, better steel costs more.

At least the OP has some options.
