| Happy Holidays Everyone!
Just a little love note to everyone out there in TBDB-land. I'm sitting at home, fresh cuppa coffee, watching it snow on my first White Christmas ever. My first Christmas with my boy, Del. My wife and I are pretty simple about holidays, but this one feels special. We've had some really lovely gifts this year with Del, including a composition from a dear friend on the day of his birth and today some signed original panels and other gifts from a favorite cartoonist, who is a Seattle and neighborhood local. I love that my boy will grow up with creativity and expression all around him.
And speaking of "White Christmas", I'm playing my very rare, preview copy, first pressing of Bobby Timmons' "Holiday Soul" with Butch Warren on bass and Walter Perkins on Drums. Butch is playing a beautiful, gutty solo with tons of relevance.
I hope you are all basking is your own brand of glow this morning/month, whatever it is that you celebrate, even if it is simply life. I appreciate the community and as Phil said in another post, every TBDBr that I meet is even cooler in person. I hope to meet many more of you in the new year.
