How hard it is to play this jazz/bebop song?

When it comes to jazz, I am starting to learn to apreciate this genre, but my favorite instrument in jazz is the trumpet, and love to hear Dizzy play it.

What I would like to know is that in terms of technical difficulty, how hard is it to play this song in the double bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6ozq...eature=related

Since I'm an electric bass player, I don't know much about double bass.

I think it's so incredibly fast, but my knowledge is little so maybe this is "standard" when it comes to bebop.

And also: is it possible to play as many notes as Dizzy plays in another instrument, say, the guitar?

Final note: Check out this performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRLA2...eature=related They seem good musicians, but it can't compare to the original, they even play it slower.

I agree. Sounds pretty hard too.
But the **** eating grins and stress-free body language may tell a different story. So does Niels' T-shirt.
