Question I'm *trying* to find folks to play with...but no luck!

I've been all over craigslist and bandmix, looking for folks to play with. I've got extensive experience and am willing to play anything but in church praise groups (done that before and if you're not a member of the church it doesn't really work out well). I'm a decent player and I can handle myself in a group. The only responses tell me they're looking for an electric player, I'm too old, or I'm too young, or they want TOURING EXPERIENCED musicians (eye roll).

I went to an open jam and was a bit over my head, as it was rock/blues/alternative, not BLUES like advertised, all SUPER electric (3 guitars at once? really?), and no horns or keys.

I have training in classical and jazz, have been in metal, punk, classic rock, and jazz groups. Not much gigging experience, but most of it was jazz combos.

I'll play country, even though it's not my favorite, because I know it.

Am I not getting responses because I'm TOO flexible?

Upright bassist looking to jam
Just looking for some folks in the Flint area who wanna jam. I'm interested in blues, jazz, bluegrass, rockabilly, and if ya wanna mix up anything I'm cool with that, too. Pretty open availability. Just lookin to have some fun.
Too vague? I'm no longer in school (h.s. or college) to get pre-made musicians in a small area without a bribe. I'm going to a local concert band thing to play at but it's not what I'm looking for. I want a band and I want to gig! (sigh)

Any input is welcome.
