Jazz by the Boulevard - Ft. Worth

I can't believe what I did.

I went to this great jazz event specifically to hear TBer Paul Unger. I invited a horn player from my quartet to meet me there so he could get an ear full of some really great music from the Tom Reynolds/Paul Unger Project. I got there early and listened to the sound checks. I scoped out the bass rig.

They played a tune by Unger titled "Afternoon Nap" and when it came to Ungers' solo I said, "So, are you planning to move to Denver? Really? Good music scene up there yada yada ..."

I talked all the way through the bass solo.

Do I need professional counseling?

A great annual event, catch it if you are in the area.

(I am told the bass solo was reasonably spectacular, which is about what I expected.)
