RIP John Dankworth. A very nice nice fellow when I had the pleasure of meeting him.

Thumbs up

Funny...great musical impressions in there. The Mulligan "Bernie's Tune" against the minored "Mice" thing, and the Sauder Finegan ones are pretty inside for some people.
Reminded me of my old buddy Larry Dunlap who used to be Cleo's and John's musical accompanist, arranger and musical director. I play bass on "Close Up", Larry's and his wife Bobbe Norris' album from the mid 80's. He has some great stories about John and some of those guys over there.
