KEVIN MARVIN TAILPIECE

Dear collegues,
I've thought to add this questio here because I was no sure where it should have been added.
Buy the way, I use KEVIN MARVIN TAILPIECE from more than one year and I'm not absolutely going to chenge it with a traditional tailpiece.
Some of use have ever tested it.?

Well, I'm totally agreed with all the benefits that are written, only a more response for strings it's absolutely no true.
The tailpiece is so light that the the string response is a little bit less speed. I've tested it with notable doublebasses player as Pino Ettore (principal double bass in LA SCALA THEATRE in Italy so we have decided that it's no true that there's a faster response.

What do you think??

My best bass regards .

Vito

I have been using one for about 9 months. I cant accurately or objectively remember the tone of my bass that long ago but I am fairly certain it helped with string brightness.

On the other hand I have muted all the wire afterlengths because they were vibrating out of phase with the fundamental frequency of the E and G string, hence killing the deep bass sound.
