Which language is best for a musician to learn?

I'm looking to learn a second language and would like to know whether French or Italian is a better language for a classical musician.

I know a lot of dynamic and tempo markings are written in Italian, but I've seen other words that look like French.

So, French or Italian?

...or some other language?

IMO, Italian would be the first option.
But being versed in French and German as well wouldn't hurt.

+1 on Japanese. They seem to like Jazz more than the US does.

Past that, there's no driving reason to learn any of the romance languages unless you plan on traveling there.
