Hey Everyone;

I'm doing a concert on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at First-St. Andrew's United Church (corner of Queens and Waterloo in London, Ontario) as part of their Music Series. www.fsaunited.com/Music%20Poster%202007-8.pdf I'll be playing a variety of styles. I've added violin and drums/percussion to most of the works. Plus, I have an Oud player for the Middle Eastern pieces.

Nessun Dorma - at tenor pitch
Bottesini Concerto #2 - 1st Mvt - as a 4 minute opera with violin and piano accompaniment
Spanish Dance No 5, Andaluza - with piano, violin and castenets
Like as the Hart - with pipe organ
Czardas - violin and bass duel
Small Time in the Shade - a jazz piece my wife wrote
Summertime - a nice piece for the middle of winter
Big Noise from Winnetka - alla Bob Haggart
Lamma Bada Yata Thanna - with Oud and Riqq ; it's a beautiful north African piece in 10/8 (3+2+1+1+3), in g minor harmonic
Rampi Rampi - with Oud and Doumbek; this is a kick-butt Turkish piece in 9/9 (2+2+2+3), in d hijaz (that g minor harmonic starting on the D)
YYZ/La Villa Strangiato - two on my farourite Rush pieces in a medley arranged by myself for piano, violin, bass and drums

Hey Gang;

Just a reminder of my concert this Saturday in London, Ontario. I've started rehearsing with the musicians and I'm really excited about it.

I'll be running everything through a PA system so we can really crank it up for the RUSH. I'll be making a DVD of it so I'll try to post it on Youtube when it's done.
