Hi Guys,
I'm a tenor sax player looking to get a modern jazz quartet going in the New Forest area (UK). I've got myself keyboards and drums but am having difficulty in locating a double bass player. Anyone got any suggestions for any good web resources etc that might help me find someone?
Thanks in anticipation
Phil

Blimey, I think you'd be lucky to find a person let alone a bass player in the New Forest area. Last time I was there I saw no people, but lots of shaggy ponies!

If your catchment area extends eastward, I would recommend trying people in Chichester - the college there runs a full-time Jazz course and they must have a few decent double bass players on the grounds.
