Looking for a stool

Looking for a simple, round seat, wood, no swivel bar stool for playing seated. 30" seems too short, but is all I can find.

Anyone know a resource, online or otherwise, for one of these?

Thanks,

Bill Graham

Mine's from WalMart, 30", less than $20. Uncomfortable as hell. Lowe's, Home Depot, Kmart...all have 'em.

Interesting avatar, Bill.

I've checked those places. They all just seem too short. I think 36" would do well.

Yeah, I've got pretty ugly dental x-rays.

The 30" is just barely tall enough for me, I'm 5'7". The bass leans back a bit with this stool. 36" would be too tall for me, I think.

I'm 6'1" and long legged. I'm hoping I can find something tall enough to keep the same end pin setting. I can kick the bottom of the bass out more for a shorter stool, but I don't really want to do that too too much.

mine came from IKEA. It's higher than 30" (I'm not home now to measure), less than $30.00. I think it was designed as a stool to use w/ an ironing board or drafting table, who knows... It has a lower back support and folds up. Wood seat and back, metal frame and has a foot rest about 8" off the ground. I'm 6' and it's plenty high. no endpin adjustment.

UPDATE
i found it on the IKEA web. Price now up to $40.00.

I found adjustable chairs at a number of web sites. Do a search for "drafting chairs".
