Millennium Park Gig

Thought you Chicago guys might be interested in a concert tonight (Wednesday) and this Friday, both 6:30PM, at Millennium Park Pritzker Pavillion. I'm playing the Rodrigo Concierto de Aranjuez Adagio Movement with the Grant Park Symphony. This is one of the pieces on Sketches of Spain. No trumpet this time, the great Brazilian vocalist Luciana Souza is singing the melodies vocalese style. I get to play the Paul Chambers part, yeah! Sounded really nice at rehearsal yesterday.

I'm also playing on the Gil Evans Corcovado bossa medley which we rehearse this morning. There are a number of other pieces including Copland and some Tangos arranged by Chicagoan Elbio Barilari which feature the Luna Negra Dance Co. Should be a nice evening.

Poop. I'm down at the Firehouse tonight at 7pm. I'm so close too. Sounds really good. Break a leg!

Sounds like a great show and fun gig. Wish I could go.

Break a leg, Bri
