Wish I could - Rich Perry's a hoot, and a great player who stretches my ears every time I hear him. If only he didn't have that ego problem... I mean, most sax players do *have* egos, right? How come Rich got left out?

He does deadpan the best of just about anybody I know.
But yeah, a great cat to meet and to listen to.

nice one!

yo Ed- nice one - I just played with Elliot Zigmund for the first time last week - what an awesome drummer - fun to play Bill Evans material with a cat who actually played it with Bill!

Yeah, he's such a nice cat too. We did some recording of Jon's music late last year, but there's not quite enough music (4 out of 6 tunes from our session and 1 tune from the "electric" session which had Mario Rivera on BG and Todd Isler on drums) to release, so HOPEFULLY we'll go back in at some point, maybe do some standards.
On this gig we're going to be doing some of Jon's tunes, some tunes associated with Bill and then some standards that everybody had fun blowing on at rehearsal.
