The Music Lesson by Victor Wooten

I just got the book today, and read the first few chapters. It's a very easy read, and I am loving the new ideas I'm already getting while reading this book. Every musician should check this out.

I had my local library get it (by inter-library loan) and I dug it so much I popped for the paperback via EBay. I read for pleasure almost every day, and I don't buy a new book every year, so that tells you how highly I valued the experience.

There's some hopefully-allegorical material -- I don't think I'll be investigating the souls of stones anytime soon.

There is MUCH, much musical and human wisdom. Musicians on every level can benefit from what Mr. Wooten has to offer. It's worth the effort to seek this book out.

Amen!!! Got it back when it first came out. Couldn't hardly put it down. Got so excited I even read some parts aloud to my wife.

Ya this book is actually sitting by my bed right now. I pull it out and read random parts from it here and there and I always seem to get something new from it. Something to check out if you haven't already.
