Music Pad Pro Plus Digital Music Stand

I'm considering buying one before the end of the year. Has anyone used one?

No but if I played more "jazz gigs" I'd have all my Real Book stuff scanned in and be happy as a clam. I just can't justify i tat this point.

If i had the money, it seems like it'd be awesome. I did the school musical-some of those page turns are insane. So being able to put the books in there and then being able to mark them still, would be awesome. I have a hard time justifying the cost at this point though-they're close to $600-800 right?

I'd also do as Steve said and put all of my real books on it.

I'd LOVE one of those things because I have so many tunes already in PDF format...just wish it was much cheaper.

Looks like around $1,000 with all the extra stuff.

The catch is...if you order any of their pre-formatted music...all those tunes cost like $4.99 and up...that could get pricey for even a few dozen charts.

I'd certainly hope my real book PDFs would transfer.

Yeah-if i had the $1k burning a hole in my pocket-that seems like it'd be great, but for where i'm at right now, it's not gonna happen.

I was test driving one in a store that they had setup. It's "nice" but I think I would wait for some improvements. The screen could be better, and overall I'd like the viewing area to be increased. With the improvements that have been made in LCD and OLED technology, the screen on this thing feels extremely outdated.

Once they can make a affordable OLED version, I'll be first in line for one. But for the current version, it's a great thought and innovation.....but it's not ready.

There is a alternative for the Music Pad Pro. It is called MusicReader and runs on standard Tablet PCs, laptops or desktops. This Electronic Music Stand Software is available in multiple version and there is an free evaluation version on the website.

My music teacher had the idea to invent one. He though it was a great idea, and that he was going to get rich over it... until he found out it already existed
