MySpace.com craze

Hey guys,
I felt I was the only musician left on this planet without a MySpace page, so I just put one together myself, link is below. Any other TBers are on MySpace too? How does the "add friend" thing work? I am too lazy to read 150 pages of FAQs Someone help me!

OK, back to practicing now. The internet can be evil, in terms of the massive amounts of time it can take away from your instrument

What would you like to know about the Add friend? I can tell you whatcha need to know, but I don't have a Myspace anymore.

If ya go to someone's myspace, and scroll down beneath their details, you will see a box with "add" "email" "contact" bla, something like that, click on add and it will send a friend request to them, if they say click Add in their friend request folder, their display name will show up next to "Tom"

Hopefully that helps, tell me if it doesn't

That's really funny Marco because I just made myself one today. I avoided it but I think it will be good for exposure. I'll be your first friend.... Mine is www.myspace.com/petecoco.

Hehe, actually, Ray Parker beat you to it...
OK, now that I've added you guys, am I on your friends' list, too, or do I have to send a friend request myself?

Nope, you're on my 'friends' list as well. I thought that I would have received an email notice from the system, but I guess that's not the way of My Space...

Cool! I don't think I've RSVP'd for the "Great day in LIC" bass gathering yet, but I am planning on being there, so count me in. Did you make an announcement on talkbass, just in case we're missing somebody for the great event?

The original thread was called someting like, "How Many Bass Players Does it Take to Set a Garden on Fire", or somesuch. The web site is http://www.AGreatDayInLIC.com and you can get on the list there.

At the top of the month I'm going to print up flyers and put them all over town, etc. and really start getting aggressive about getting the word out.

Thanks so much Dave. That was from a "Tribute to Ray Brown" performance I gave at my school. One of my favorites too.

myspace page

i couldn't turn down free exposure, and recently for gigs people have been asking for sound clips, so i'll just send them here when it gets set up. check it out if you'd like...any input would be much appreciated! more sound clips to come when i can transfer them from mini disc. there is a bass solo wedged somewhere in the middle of moonlight in vermont.
