At one time you could find it in shoe stores and sporting goods stores--it works really well for softening up a new baseball glove.

Hey David, is there any chance you want to use it for gut strings? If so you can also give a try to regular baby oil, works great , if that is not the purpose . sorry , im out of here.

Agreed - if for guts, the neatsfoot oil (being an animal by-product) can get funky, as it were. Stick with the baby oil, which is typically just straight-up mineral oil. No fuss, no funk.

Well, my comment was a little more obfuscious in nature -- I was commenting on 'liquid courage'. Brewer's Droop doesn't kick in until many beers later...
