New Strings/ Music

Today I just got in my new set of strings in today. Helicore Arco Heavy tensions. They are very warm strings. I now see how I evolved from wanting low tension strings (still have them) (and a set of medium solo's) to high tension strings. It feels so nice under the fingers (I expected more of a struggle to press them down in the upper register). I noticed that I have to be more strict than usual on using more bow to get the proper sound (which is amazing).

I also got in the new music my bass professor told me to get for next semester to add on to the continuing stuff of last. I got all international editions. The Schubert Arpeggione, which is a amazing piece of music, plus the Koussevitzky Valse, and Chanson. Excellent print and seems almost flawless.

It is like christmass in .... january.
