New Teacher/Teaching

Well, I'm a student bass player with two fine teachers (first being a violinist/violist/bassist/conductor and the second being a jazz/orchestral bassist and conductor) and am in three constant orchestras with misc. other things like musical playing, etc. I play mainly orchestral with a bit of jazz (learning). My situation/question is: I have been thinking about starting to get some younger musicians to teach, both younger age-wise and musically. I plan on majoring in bass performance and getting my masters in conducting and I feel this will be a good start on the path of starting to studying teaching and methods and theories. So, how do I go about starting this? How do I get my name out there and get some students? What are some suggestions and tips anyone may have?

I have some good ideas (I think) about teaching methods and how to explain certain things. Things like how I dislike a main teaching that results in the musician inherently being 'afraid' of certain keys and certain positions on the fingerboard simply because they view them as hard and difficult. I've noticed quite a bit, and many times, that so many things about playing difficulties are all mindsets. Things like that. So, any help?
